Henry Gilbert Foard, Jr. was born Nov 20, 1922. He died April 1, 1945 over Yugoslavia and is buried in Florence Italy.
Gilbert, as he was known, was from Marion, SC. He was a Corporal in the Army Air Corps with the 15th Air Force, 843rd Bombardment Group, 816th Bomber Squadron stationed in Sterparone, Italy.
This is submitted in his honor by his family on the occasion of his little sister Catherine's 75th birthday. She still cries when she talks about Gilbert. He would have been 80 in November 2002.
