    I was born in New York City May 6, 1922. I attended Aviation High School graduating in 1941. For one year (1941-1942),
    I worked at Paterson Field in^ Dayton, Ohio. I served in the Army as an Anti-Aircraft Automatic Weapons Specialist. For 29 months, I served in the Pacific campaign during World War II. After being discharged, I went back to Aviation School and received my Aircraft & Powerplant license. I joined the Air National
    Guard and in 1951 was activated due to the Korean War. After I
    was released from the Air Force, I went to work for American
    Airlines in Aircraft Maintenance until I retired in 1990 after
    39 years with the company.
