Herbert W. Greuter US Air Force Retired was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as a C-130B flight engineer near Khe Sanh, Republic of Vietnam on 16 February 1968. Sergeant Greuter succeeded in effecting an in-flight correction of a serious malfunction while exposed to hostile fire.
