    In the early 1950s, when Hilliard M. McLamore came of age, "Mac" was excited about early space missions and technology. As a gifted mathematician, his interest grew and he later devoted his life to the advancement of computer programming, specializing in main frame computers. Mac was a Database Administrator for Boeing Computer Services in the Washington D.C. area for 25 years. In that capacity, he enjoyed working on the Space Station Freedom TMIS-IC project. In retirement, Mac's love of computers led him to administer a website dedicated to QBasic programming which he maintained until his passing He memorialized the family name MCLAMORE on a set of microchips that were attached to the spacecraft Stardust, launched in 1999 to study comets. Stardust returned successfully in 2006 and is now on display in the Milestones Gallery of the National Air and Space Museum. Mac's contribution and his presence here on earth will be greatly missed.
