Hollis Cash was born 23 November 1969 to William and Jackie Cash. In pursuit of a lifelong passion for all things space and flight related, Hollis spent several years in the Civil Air Patrol and eventually enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1987, at the age of 16 1/2. During his time, mostly spent overseas, Hollis became a Professional Military Education instructor and eventual Director of Education, where he was able to help cultivate his aerospace passion within young leaders of the USAF. After over 10 years of service, Hollis left the USAF to pursue his passion for computers and technology. Still loyal to the efforts of the US government, Hollis turned his talents toward working for defense contractors supporting warfighters and other government agencies. Hollis has, and continues still, to serve in this capacity for the past nearly 20 years. As a space and aerospace enthusiast, Hollis routinely donates to support various air and space museums and societies and has engendered this enthusiasm in his two daughters Felipa Cash and Colette Dahl, who currently serves in the Air National Guard.
