Hubert C Normile, a chemical engineer, was employed by the U. S. Air Force in 1951 to establish a chemical laboratory at Patrick AFB and Cape Canaveral to support the U. S. Space program. This included support for rockets such as the Thor, Atlas and Saturn. Also Redstone, Delta and Vanguard. He supported the “man in space” programs; Mercury, Gemini and Apollo. Member, American Rocket Society.
