Dad's passion for airplanes and flight was ignited from the time he served as an airplane mechanic in the United States Air Force from 1953-1956. He later was hired by United Airlines as an aircraft mechanic. He later advanced through United's management development program to become an engineer technician, and retired after 33 years at United. He loved everything about airplanes and visited museums and air shows whenever he had an opportunity.
