    Irv began his career in 1942, on his 21st birthday, with American Airlines. He was assigned to the USATC Flying B-24s until 1944 when he returned to Pioneer various domestic and Mexican routes for AA. From 1951-1961 he was PAA check pilot rated in 11 large aircraft. He was instrumental in developing Cat Cay airways in 1962, a multiengine seaplane service and Southeast Airlines, the first commuter airline to receive CAB approval. He has been Chairman of the Board of Africair since 1976. Irv is father three children and five grandchildren.
