Ivhis Coromoto Miller, 69, passed away peacefully on Tuesday afternoon, September 27, 2022 with her loving family by her side. She succumbed, after a courageous battle, to complications from a heart attack suffered the previous week.

She was born on December 29, 1952, in Caracas, Venezuela where she was raised by her parents the late Patricia Palmenia Jensen and Carl August Jensen. She moved to Hollywood in her early 20's with her first love Luis Lugo.

Ivhis's interests extended into many areas of life, but her strongest passions were nature and photography. She graduated Los Angeles City College with an associate degree in cinematography and later worked in film development. She was a true animal and lover and cared for her pets, fostering many stray cats throughout her lifetime. She was concerned for the well-being of plants and domestic and wild animals alike. She enjoyed spending time in the backyard gardening, watching birds and feeding squirrels.

She was introduced to Nicherin Daishonins Buddhism in 1983. Through the practice she met and later married Rike Miller. They spent almost 20 years in Eagle Rock, California raising two children. They purchased their first home in 2001 and moved to San Bernardino. Ivhis was an active member in the SGI community for almost 40 years, even serving a leadership role for most of that time. She was smart, strong and above all else kind. No words can completely capture her and the influence she had on those around her.

Ivhis was the proud mother of two children and grandmother to three grandchildren. She treasured every moment in her role as Grandma and showered her grandchildren with love and affection.

Ivhis is survived by her children Tanjha and David, and her grandchildren Ariana, Olivia and Severine.
