    Honored by:

    Commissioned 2nd Lt from AFROTC from the University of Utah: Flew 1900 hours in the B-29 to train radar units about ECM. Served as a Staff Officer for Paris Flight Service. Was a witness to seeing the Berlin Wall being built. Amazed at the Armed Forces cemeteries on Omaha and Utah beaches. Taught four years of AFROTC at Utah State University, Logan Utah. Immediately sent to Bien Hoa AF, (VNAF base) from August 4, 1967 to August 3, 1968. A witness to the Tet Offensive at Bien Hoa in 1968, and their repulse from the base after an intensive one day of action. Returned to USA to Mather AFB, California, with duty in the KC-135 Tanker. Returned to refuel B-52’s and the Fighter/Bombers going in to hit North Vietnam.
    Was USAF representative to the Transportation School at Fort Eustis, Virginia for 3 years. Served as Commander of the Transportation Squadron (319th BW) for one year, then retired on 1 August 1975.
    Taught AFJROTC at the Intermountain Tribal School at Brigham City, Utah for 3 years. Next taught AFJROTC at the Croughton American High School – formerly Upper Heyford RAF School – for 4 years, returning to Logan Utah to retire (fully) in 1984.
