    Air and Space Friend

    Honored by:
    Ms. Jennifer Miller

Ever since childhood, Dr. Miller has always had a great passion for aviation. His first adult experience began with the Vietnam War, when in 1970 he entered the Air Force as a 1st Lieutenant. He trained as a flight surgeon at Brooks Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, and then proceeded to serve two years of active duty stationed in Uban, Thailand. After his period of overseas duty, he returned to America as a Captain and entered the Air National Guard for the next few years. During this period he also began work for United Airlines as a pilots’ physician.
Realizing that a career in women’s health was his true calling, he left the military with the rank of Major in 1976 and trained to become a private obstetrician/gynecologist. During this time he obtained his private aviation license in 1978 and found a Piper Turbo Arrow to explore the skies.
Dr. Miller continues to ensure the health and safety of pilots in the air, and is also certified as a private aviation instructor. His life has been touched deeply by aviation, and we are proud to honor our father’s great love for and commitment to flight.
