Entered Air Force in 1949. Graduated from Pilot Training in 1952. F-84 Gunnery School at Luke AFB, AZ then to Korea for combat tour. Spent 2 ½ years in Flight Test at Wright Patterson AFB. Discharged from their Force and went into the AZ Air National Guard. While in the Guard, I flew T-33, F-86, F-104, C-97, KC-99, and KC-135. Spent seven years active duty and 29 years in the AZ. ANG. While in the Guard, served a tour at Ramstein AFB flying 104s during the Cold War; later flew numerous into Vietnam in cargo airplanes. While in the Guard, flew as an airline pilot for Northwest Airlines, retiring in Dec. 1988.
