James has spent his entire adult life in the aviation industry. He was first an air traffic controller in the U.S. Marine Crops for 3 years. He then spent 32 years with the Federal Aviation Administration, first as an air traffic controller and then in management in the Air Traffic Division of the FAA. He served in facilities in Los Angeles, Fort Worth, Minneapolis, Washington, D.C. Headquarters, Honolulu and Boston. After his retirement from the FAA, he is now employed as an ATC Systems Manager for Southwest Airlines Company. He was previously a private pilot. He has a great love of flight and the industry.
