United States Marine Corps veteran of World War II in the Pacific. Became an aviation enthusiast because of his son Dennis’ love of aviation. Supported Eagle Aviation, a local CA fixed-base operator. Involved in soaring and supported Sailplane Enterprises in CA. Licensed as a private pilot airplane single engine land, and glider pilot. Supported the refurbishing and restoration of a T6 aircraft which later flew several times at the Reno, NV air races. A favorite plane to pilot was the Great lakes Aerobatic Aircraft. Greatly enjoyed plane trips with his son and family.
