    I was commissioned through ROTC and first reported to active duty on 13 May 1955.
    Entered Flight Training in 22 June 1955 and flew the T34, T28 and T33, earning my wings in June 1956.
    Then on to gunnery school at Williams AFB and where I flew the F-86.
    I was then ordered to Foster AFB in Victoria, TX, and reported in on 1 November 1956.
    At Foster I flew the F-100C for 317 hours. I was relieved from active duty on 19 January 1959.
