Served with the 355th TFW, 354th TFS out of Tahkli Royal Thailand Air Force Base in the capacity of and F-105 Strike pilot. Medically retired due to injuries sustained during ejection at approximately 600 knots on 71st combat mission in Southeast Asia(SEA). Awarded Distinguished Flying Cross, three Air Medals, Purple Heart and other commendations during two years eleven months of service. Air Force documentary film “Faces of Rescue” (SFP1956) Chronicles Search and Rescue (SAR) operations in SEA using film footage and radio recordings taken during my successful rescue on 16 June 1969.
