Jim has been interested in the exploration of space since childhood. He graduated from Penn State in 1981 with an aerospace engineering degree and immediately worked the Space Shuttle program as an Air Force officer.
During his 13 years with the Air Force he worked Titan and Atlas missions, seven satellite programs, and the construction or modification of 7 launch pads. He continues supporting space programs as a civilian.
