On June 8, 1944, 8th Air Force B-17 Pilot, flew the 1st of 35 bombing missions over Germany. Awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. Continued to fly various other bombers for the Strategic Air Command. Born Dec. 26, 1919 in Minden, NE and departed this life on July 14, 2001 in East Meadow, NY. Interred at Calverton Veterans Cemetery, NY.
