    Airman First Class James R Brown, distinguished himself by extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flights as an EC-47 Airborne Intercept Operator over the Republic of Vietnam from 26 October 1966 to 28 November 1966. During that period, Airman Brown flew long and arduous missions over hostile areas and under adverse terrain and weather conditions in support of "Operation Attleboro". Through selfless application of his outstanding professional skill, ingenuity and perseverance, Airman Brown was instrumental in the fulfillment of complex and urgent aerial reconnaissance requirements in Southeast Asia. The professional competence, aerial skill, and devotion to duty displayed by Airman Brown reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
