Jim wanted to be a pilot for as long as he can remember. He is a 1992 graduate of the Air Force Academy. After graduation he served as a Missileer at Whiteman AFB in Missouri for three years. He received pilot training through the Navy in Pensacola, Florida and through the Air Force in Enid, Oklahoma. He flies the KC 135 Refueler and has made the Air Force his career. He served three years in Fairchild AFB in Spokane, Washington and three years in Altus, Oklahoma. He is currently teaching at the Air Force Air University in Montgomery, Alabama
