Jim, an avid pilot in his own right, has dedicated his career to developing unprecedented training systems for military pilots. Jim's expertise in simulation, image processing, servo systems, virtual reality, optomechanical systems, displays, image generators, eye trackers, video systems, infrared, and image mapping has brought him the highest respect and trust of experts in all fields he has encountered. Jim has been awarded 6 patents with 4 pending for his creative solutions and innovations at L3 Communications, Link Simulation & Training (originally The Singer Link Company) in Binghamton, New York, and he has also authored several publications. His simulation work includes fixed and rotary wing aircraft, including the A10, C130, KC10 Aerial Refueling, F14, F15, F16, F18, F22, F117, GR5, GR7, Shuttle, T2C, T45, AH-64, AH64A, AH-1F, UH60A/L, CH-47D, AH-64D, OH-58D, UH-1H, RAH-66, and many others. Jim's love of flying, his caring and regard for the pilots who fly his systems, his enthusiasm for science and technology, and his deep desire to reach beyond state of the art designs is inspirational. He is a true hero of flight.
