    Wall of Honor Level:
    Air and Space Friend

    Honored by:

I followed my dreams of being a pilot by joining the Air Force after high school. After basic training and the aviation cadet program, I graduated in Class 55S. I went to Perrin AFB to check out the F86D; then Pittsburgh’s 42nd fighter interceptor squadron – 1956 to 1958; Pennsylvania Air National Guard 147FIS – 1959 to 1962.
Capital Airlines hired me in 1959 and a merger with United Airlines gave me 41 years and 22,000 hours of flying. More than any boy could hope for. Cubs to DC10s, with F86s between. What a ride.
