    Honored by:
    Mr. Tucker Edward Axum III

Jared Guillory (1981-2013) was a lifelong resident of Lafayette, Louisiana. He graduated from Acadiana High School in 1999, and then graduated first in his class from Universal Technical Institute in Houston, TX in 2001. He turned down an opportunity to work for BMW in Europe, desiring to remain close to his roots in South Louisiana. Jared loved aviation. He played flight simulator computer games and would often fly in a Cessna 172 with his childhood friend, Tucker Axum III. Jared wanted to be a commercial pilot, but a lengthy 13 year battle with cancer prevented this.

Joe Guillory (father) enlisted in the US Navy in 1971 and served in the Vietnam War. Enamored with aviation, Joe flew a Cessna Cardinal from Washington to Louisiana in August 2015. That multi-day adventure over 2,000 miles was featured in Aircraft Owner’s and Pilot’s Association, Plane and Pilot, and in the local press of New Iberia, Louisiana.
