Jeffrey James Gross was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on December 15, 1962, died on a ski slope in Flagstaff, Arizona on January 8, 2010 of natural causes.  Jeff was the son of Gary W. and Edna M. Gross of Phoenix, Arizona, brother of Juliana Prue of Oconto, Wisconsin, husband to Renee, father to Skylar and Trevor.  He was a captain for US Airways (formerly America West) having flown for them for 20 years, 10 on the Airbus A320.  Starting basic flying in 1981, he progressed through flight instructor, corporate jets and then to commercial airline first officer and captain.  Jeff was also a certified federal agent with Homeland Security.
