Jerry Morris was 8 years old when his interest in flying was sparked. His parents took him to a fair in California where he experienced his first helicopter ride. From that point on flying was in his blood.
Jerry, at the age of 19, had his first flying lessons and by the age of 20 had earned his private pilot's license. Jerry fulfilled another dream in 1984 of flying and serving his country by joining the US Army. In his 5 years of service, Jerry earned his commercial/instrument helicopter license and multi-engine airplane rating.
Jerry then joined Petroleum Helicopters, Inc. in 1989 and has worked for this organization until the present time. In 1991, he earned his helicopter multi-engine rating. During his years with PHI, he has worked in the Gulf of Mexico, EMS flying S-76 in Cleveland, OH, and EMS VA flying EC135 in Harrisonburg, VA.
Jerry has personally owned 12 aircraft in his lifetime. He continues to spend time maintaining and flying his own planes. He also continues to enjoy a profession where he can daily experience his dreams.
