Captain Jim Allen was employed by Piedmont Airlines from January 1985 until the merger with US Air in 1991. Jim began his career as an instructor pilot with Piedmont, even in his first year, as a flight engineer instructor. He soon became a check airman on the Fokker-28, and later on the Boeing 737, and the Airbus 320 family.
