    Served in the U.S. Army Air Corp from April 1943 to March 1946. Aviation cadet training - B-24 bomber pilot - combat duty in China, Burma, India Theater of operations during World War II.

    Served as a supervisory attorney in the Office of Chief Counsel, Federal Aviation Administration from February 1959 to January 1981. Primarily involved in establishing policy and procedures for the enforcement of aviation safety laws and regulations. Served as the attorney member of the FAA Administrator's task force which established the first aviation security screening system for the nations commercial airports, and participated in training the first "Sky-Marshals" used in the FAA anti-hijacking program. Gave lectures at Aviation Medical Seminars sponsored by the Federal Air Surgeon over an 18-year period. After retirement, served part-time (during a five-year period) as a contract attorney instructor in training new Aviation Safety Inspectors at the FAA Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City, OK.
