John Fleming has spent more than 600 volunteer hours (as of 05/01) building aircraft parts for the Glenn Curtiss Museum in Hammondsport, NY. For the 1912 Curtiss Flying Boat, the Triad A-1, the first true amphibian he built the elevator and rudder using the original plans. When completed, it will have a trial flight before going on display at the Museum. He also handcrafted the wing ribs for a Curtiss Oriole, which will also fly. Currently he is assisting a friend in the rebuilding of the wings of a 1953 Aeronca C-3.

Wall of Honor profiles are provided by the honoree or the donor who added their name to the Wall of Honor. The Museum cannot validate all facts contained in the profiles.
