    John A. Gorczyca graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in Business. He was a member of the ROTC unit where he was a distinguished graduate. He was also a member of the Arnold Air Society at Ohio State. After graduation, he eventually entered US Air Force pilot training whereupon, he was a distinguished graduate. He served 20 active duty years in the Air Force and eventually became an Air Force One support pilot at Andrews AFB, MD. During this assignment, he flew the White House staff, the White House cabinet members, the First Lady, former Presidents and foreign dignitaries.
    After retirement from the Air Force, he became a United Airlines pilot. He flew the Boeing 727, 737, 757, 767 and the 747 aircraft. He was a Captain on the Boeing 737 and 757/767 airplanes. He spent his entire career at the San Francisco domicile. He flew an accident free career in 43 years of flying.
