    Wall of Honor Level:
    Air and Space Friend

    Honored by:

In the autumn of 1942 I arrived at WideWings, the Headquarters of the 8th AF, just west of London. Col. Garland assigned me to start a small radio lab at the Royal Air Force Depot at West Drayton, just across the Thames River.

Polish refugee Major R. Terlecki was in charge of the Royal Air Force (RAF) lab and started my work by presenting several new projects which had been deemed "impossible" by their best university graduate RAF HQ Engineers. Due to my experimentation and experience, at my home laboratory at "Breezedale," I was able to solve all of these circuits and render them usable against the German air forces.

John was awarded a distinguished alumni award from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
