    Wall of Honor Level:
    Air and Space Friend

    Honored by:
    Don Caruso

Joseph has spent the last 8 years building a new K-8 "Space Program" in Kalamazoo, Michigan, that mixes NASA videos with his own video and PowerPoint content and is shown to about 800 students per year. Per Joseph, the goal was always to have fun, but get kids interested in Math and Science.

Last year, he included the Glenn Research Center with some touring displays that filled the school gym! He also focused on the Mars Curiosity Rover and located the only life-sized inflatable Rover in the U.S., which enabled the students to enter and interact. Joseph has used NASA multimedia and handouts and blended school curriculum needs with the program which the teachers greatly appreciated.

Our future will be decided by these youngsters, and I am proud my son, Joseph, is involved in igniting that spark of interest in the Space Program!

    Sincerely,

    Donald E. Caruso, Sr.
