Joseph (Jody) Paul Nazzaro was born on October 8, 1974, in Morristown, NJ, and attended public school in Randolph, NJ. He participated in soccer and lacrosse while he was growing up and played those sports on the varsity teams at Randolph High School.
Jody graduated from the University of Delaware, where he was President of the Phi Kappa Tau fraternity, with a degree in Communications. He works as a film and commercial sound designer in New York City.
On September 19, 2009, Jody married Meredith Collins. The couple resides in Hoboken, NJ with their son Elliott Joseph, who was born September 2013.
Jody's interest in flying can be traced to the 6th grade when his father first brought him and his younger brother to the Sussex airshow, where he toured restored Warbirds, heard the unmistakable sound of the Merlin in the P-51D Mustang and watched Leo Loudenslager perform an inverted ribbon cut in his Bud Light Laser 200. Bitten by the aviation bug, his father arranged an introductory flying lesson several years later. He obtained his private pilot's license in April 2007. Jody constantly communicates his love of all things related to aviation to Elliott.
