Wall of Honor Level:
Air and Space Leader

Honored by:
Mr. Larry M. Hawk

Kathy Nicosia died September 11, 2001 while working as a flight attendant for American Airlines and is remembered as both an American hero and a pioneer of flight. She worked her entire adult life for American and saw the industry grow from mainly business fliers to a day when everyone considered flying routine. Her loss is felt deeply by her large extended family but maybe that terrible day will end up making flying safer and even more routine. Kathy is survived by her loving husband George, and by her daughter, Marianne. Kathy always said her proudest accomplishment was raising her daughter and a joyful, loving spirit lives on in her. We honor the life and spirit of a very special person. May she rest in peace in God’s hands. All our love, Kathy’s brothers, Jim and Larry Hawk.
