    Kathryn L Morris February 23, 1927 to November 26, 2009.

Kathryn worked proudly as a Civilian for the United States Air Force for many years, which included certifications for completion of many professional courses and the receipt of several awards for improvement suggestions throughout her service. In January of 1954 Kathryn also known as Kaye, began her career as a Real Estate Clerk at Dover Air Force Base for the 1607 Installation Squadron. In January of 1957 she transferred to the Military Traffic Management Agency in Dallas Texas. She continued her service from July 1959 to July 1961 at Andersen Air Force Base in Guam while working in the area of Materials for the 3960th Hedron Combat Support Group. In 1961 she returned home due to her mother's sudden illness and later returned to work for the Employee Relations Branch of the USAF Headquarters in Washington DC, from March of 1962 to June of 1965. She then took a position in the Department of Medicine and Surgery for the US Veterans Administration from 1965 to October 1968. In 1968 she returned to the area of her first civilian Air Force job and pursued a lifelong career in Real Estate. Kathryn was the broker and owner of Virginia Prestige Properties in Fairfax Virginia.

Kathryn often shared her love of flight with her nieces and nephews. It was common to see and hear the aircraft flying over her Chantilly home near Dulles International Airport. She took her nieces and nephews to see such sites as the Concorde arriving at Dulles or the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in Washington. She planned trips to the museum to view an exhibit or to watch the film "To Fly." She also loved to share the stories of her experience in Guam and her travels, such as the "speed boat practice" she witnessed after her daily snorkeling trips, which actually turned out to be shark scaring duty! Kathryn will be remembered for sharing her love of flight and so much more, with the permanent inscription of her name in the Wall of Honor, surrounded by the area she loved so much.

Wall of Honor profiles are provided by the honoree or the donor who added their name to the Wall of Honor. The Museum cannot validate all facts contained in the profiles.
