Mr. Jim & Chrissy Neighbors
I would like to honor my Dad, Kenneth Whitehair, for his special interest in aviation and his involvement in the Air Force.
For as long as I can remember, my Dad has had an interest in planes. He enjoys flying in planes, building model planes, working on planes, and reading about planes. At an air show you will find him with his head buried, checking out the inner workings of the planes. At home, you will find him with his head buried in a book, reading about old warplanes.
My dad joined the Air Force after high school in 1968. He went to Vietnam in December 1969 and worked on C7A – Caribou planes. When he came back to the States in January 1971, he continued to work on aircraft, A1 Sky Raiders, until he left the service after four years.
I am thankful that he has passed his interest in aviation on to me and look forward to him passing it on to his grandsons. For this, I would like to recognize his love by having his name inscribed on the National Aviation and Space Exploration Wall of Honor.
