Kevin served in the United States Air Force from 1981-1985. He was stationed
at Kadena AFB in Okinawa. Japan in the 18th Civil Engineering squadron and concluded his active duty service at Andrews AFB. MP where he was awarded the Air Force Achievement Medal. After receiving his Honorable Discharge. Kevin further served two years in the inactive reserves.
Kevin attended the launch of a Saturn 1-B rocket on July 15. 1975 that was part of the historic Apollo-Soyuz joint Soviet and American space mission. He then traveled to Johnson Space Flight Center in Houston. Texas to follow the mission until its conclusion on July 24th.
