Kiriakos "Rocco" Tsambikos Haralambos Katsikides was born on April 3, 2011 and is the son, grandson and great-grandson of a family with deep aviation roots. His great-grandfather, Harris Blackwell, worked for Glenn L. Martin Aviation in Maryland and built aircraft such as the Marauder and the Martin Two-O-Two. His grandfather, also Harris Blackwell, is an accomplished pilot having flown a wide range of aircraft for the likes of NASA and private charter companies. He also owned a Piper Cherokee 180 for many years with fellow Wall of Honor honorees, William Stang and Jeff Austin. Rocco's father, Tom Katsikides, was a navigator in the United States Air Force on the Joint Stars E-8 aircraft at Robins Air Force Base in Georgia and holds an Air Medal for having one of the longest mission flights at 21.3 hours during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Tom is currently serving in the Pennsylvania Air National Guard with the 193rd Special Operations Wing. Tom served in both Iraq and Afghanistan for the Guard and active duty. Tom is also an experienced private pilot with ratings including multi-engine. Even his mom, Nicole, has worked in transportation supporting aviation projects and policy, as well as a brief role with the Air Force Air Logistics Command. Rocco's family is proud of its rich aviation heritage and hope that Rocco will grow to love flight as much as those before him.

Rocco is a very special little man. He is truly a miracle for his mom and dad who do not let one day pass without acknowledging how fortunate they are that he is here (along with his brother Navs Dog!). He's a lucky little boy with wonderful grandparents, family and friends.
