    Wall of Honor Level:
    Air and Space Friend

    Honored by:

Served in US Army Air Corps from 1942 to 1945. Soloed in PT-19A in 1942 at Pine Bluff, AR. Aerial Gunnery School Harlingen, TX (participant in research project for gun camera program) 1943-1945.

Flying Club (Greene County, PA) with J-3 Cub and Stinson Voyager, and Piper Super Cruiser in Waynesburg, PA 1956-1960. Member Aero Club of Pittsburgh, PA (oldest aero club in United States). Served on Board of Governors 1975-1980 (club member 1975 to present (2003). Charter member of the National Air and Space Museum.

I have a life-long love and deep interest in aviation and its history and at the age of 86+ I still enjoy participation as an active member of the Aero Club of Pittsburgh and discussing "flying" with anyone interested.

I spent many years of my retired life sharing my life-long love of aviation with a self-produced slide and movie program of history and personal involvements. I have shown it to social organizations, civic clubs, schools, retirement homes with my peers, fellow western Pennsylvania citizens, and our future generation of aviation explorers.

Acquainted with Mr Paul Garber, Don Lopez, Walter Boyne, and others in the National Air and Space Museum whom I accompanied on a trip to the Paris Air Show of 1985.
