    Wall of Honor Level:
    Air and Space Friend

    Honored by:
    Mr. James L. Sallee

My father Laurence Sallee could not serve in the Second World War as he was working on the Pennsylvania Railroad which was a vital industry. As soon as the war was over he started taking flying lessons in a PiperJ-3 Cub. He loved flying and soon soloed. Shortly thereafter he was killed at work, a boxcar ran over him. This was October 1945 just before his 30th birthday. I read in a newspaper clipping that my father had parachuted from a bi-plane when he was in high school. He really liked flying and parachuting.
