    Lawrence Jerome Flanagan dedicated many years of service to the space program through his work with Grumman. From 1968 to 1972, he conducted computer analysis for the lunar module life support system. He received NASA's silver snoopy award for his outstanding contribution to the space program for his work during the Apollo 13 mission. In 1973, Larry Flanagan participated in the design and analysis of the thermal protection system for the space shuttle. From 1974 to 1978, he served as the group leader for thermal analysis for the A6-E aircraft. Flanagan on the design of solar and wind energy systems from 1978-1983. In 1983, he founded Byte Savers, Inc. As the company's president, he continues to work as a computer consultant and programmer.
