Honored by:

I flew 66 combat missions in the European Theater of
Operations between D Day and VE Day. My job was to protect
the bombers, dive bomb and strafe ground operations.
I was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Air Medal
with six clusters, the Distinguished Unit Citation, and the
European Battle Ribbon with four battle stars. I did this while
I was 20 years old.
In January 1941. Shot down an ME 262-a German Jet.
