LCDR Nolan grew up in New Orleans and attended Brother Martin High School. He knew then that he wanted to be a pilot and joined the JROTC with the goal of flying for the Navy. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Mississippi where he was also active in ROTC. His wife of ten years, Jessica, has accompanied him on this journey to achieve his dream and their first duty station was in Signorelli, Sicily as HC-4 Combat Support Squadron where he flew the MH-53E. He was an instructor on the MH-60S at North Island in San Diego, CA and is currently serving as Air Boss on the USS Denver (LPD-9). He and Jessica have a beautiful daughter, Aislinn Jae, who is very proud of her Daddy. I want to honor my husband for his service to his country and his contributions to the field of aviation. I love you Bruce.
