Commander Taggart was a dedicated Naval Aviator who amassed over 7,000 flight hours and 25,000 landings. A graduate of the US Air Force Air Command and Staff College, he performed his joint assignment with the United States Space Command in Colorado Springs, CO.
Commander Taggart has been awarded the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Meritorious Service Medal, the United States Air Force Senior Space badge, and Navy pilot wings.
