    Harry R. Errington, LCDR, USN (Retired), grew up in Collegeville, PA, in
    the 1930's and 40's, enlisted in the Navy during the Korean War in 1951, attended aviation schools, served in VF/VA squadrons, advanced to CPO, and was commissioned in 1962.
    Continued in VF/VA squadrons (7), on aircraft carriers (5), home based at Oceana, Key West, Miramar, Jacksonville, Atlantic City, with shore assignments at USNTPS, NAVAIR, and Patuxent River. Retired from active duty 1974. Served as Hd/Ass't Aircraft Maintenance Department at Strike Aircraft Test Directorate, Patuxent River, and retired from Civil Service in 1989. Served as Full Time Aircraft Maintenance Officer (Navy Volunteer) at PRNAM next 8 years. Currently serves as a Navy Volunteer, helping with PRNAM aircraft and assisting PAO with base tours.
    Awards includes Bronze Star N4edsl w/combat V and Combat Action P-ribbon
    earned during an in-country RVN tour 1969-70; Republic of Vietnam Campaign and European Occupation Service Medals; Navy Meritorious Civil Service Medal on retirement from Civil Service in 1989; and having the Pax River "Aircraft Maintenance Officer of the Year" award named in his honor in 2002.
    Plankowner ANA Patuxent River, member of Navy League, TROA, ELKS, Tailhook, VFW, FRA, NMA, NAFIS, Air & Space, and Navy Memorial.
    He and his wife Gwen of over 50 years, their sons: Doug and Jeff and daughter Robyn and their 11 grandchildren all reside in the Pax River area.
