    Honored by:
    Mr. Woodrow Clark Mc Donald

LCDR Jack McDonald was among the many brave Navy carrier pilots during WWII. He served on several carriers including the Leyte, Philippine Sea and the FDR. Involved in many campaigns with a specialty in night fighting, he was never lost in the air and always made ti back to his ship. His favorite airplane was the F8F Bearcat because you could encounter a “cold shot” and still get off the ship. He left the Navy for a short time in 1950 but was recalled for Korea and trained our pilots heading to that war. He then stayed in the Navy for a career of 23 years, staying active as a pilot and involved with the aviation community.
