My brother, Jim was a blimp pilot out of Lakehurst, NJ early in WW II, and served as a boat group commander and later a flotilla commander in the battles of Iwo Jima and Okinawa, and was at the surrender ceremonies in Tokyo Bay in September 2, 1945. Later he obtained his heavier-than-air certificate under the GI Bill. Was on duty in Korea and Vietnam.
