Graduated from the U. S. Navy Test Pilot School, Class 33 and designated an Engineering Test Pilot. Conducted Navy Preliminary Evaluation and Board of Inspection Trials of the Carrier Airborne Early Warning weapon systems of the W2F(E2A) and the E2C airplanes. Deployed with the E2A weapon system to Southeast Asia (Vietnam 1966) and was awarded 3 Air Medals. Licensed commercial pilot single engine multi-engine land, instrument rated.
