    Employed by National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) for 23 years at the Headquarters office of Advanced Studies. Retired as Assistant Director of Governmental Affairs in 1986. Career at NASA included participation in the advanced planning and implementation of the major space flight programs; including Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, Apollo-Soyuz, TDRS, Skylab and the Space Shuttle. Worked for 13 years at the Air Force Systems Command at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Projects included development and evaluation of aircraft flight test programs. In 1943 enlisted in the Navy and served in the Pacific aboard the USS Wichita after training in the V-12 program at Purdue University following a first semester at Wabash College.
    In 1948 graduated from Purdue University with an Aeronautical Bachelor of Science Degree. Served in the Navy Reserves (retired as Lt. Commander) for a total of 18 1/2 years in the Naval Air Intelligence Reserve Unit (NAIRU).
    Born in Indiana 1925; died in Virginia 1998.
