    Stationed aboard the USS Hornet during World War II with Torpedo Squadron Eleven. Flew the Grumman TBF/TBM Avenger. Awarded two Air Medals.
    Flew the Douglas R4D "Gooneybird", Beech JRB Expedition, Beech SNB navigator, and North American SNJ Texan while transporting senior military officers and civilian dignitaries. Received Letter of Appreciation from the Governor of California, Earl Warren.
    Stationed aboard the USS Princeton during the Korean War. Flew night operations in the Douglas AD3N/4N/5N Skyraider. Awarded a third Air Medal.
    Flew with the Airborne Early Warning Squadron and the Hurricane Hunter Squadron in the Lockheed WV3 Warning Star, Lockheed P2V Neptune, and Lockheed R7V Constellation. Flew with Patrol Squadron Seventeen in the Lockheed P3 Orion.
