    My military career started when I joined the 101st Signal Battalion, New York National Guard 1949. Attended New York State Maritime College 1950-1952. Entered Navy flight training in January 1953. Flew SNJ and the TBM. Assigned to Air Anti-Submarine Squadron VS-27 in September 1954. While there flew Grumman AF-2S and 2W, Grumman S2F. Then was assigned to training Squadron 3 taught formation, radio instruments and TPA. Was then assigned to USS Essex CVS-9 flew C1A. Flew SNB while attending Naval War College. Then was assigned to Patrol Squadron UP-23 where I flew the F2V-7. Was then assigned to Joint Chiefs of Staff for Ritchie, MD, flew C1A. This was my last flying assignment. Retired June 1974 at Washington, D.C. My total flight hours are 5,000.
